Clubhouse is pleased to present a salon exhibition of three new paintings by Caleb Hahne Quintana (b. 1993, Denver, CO). Working through a restrained language of light and shadow, Quintana’s paintings explore the threshold between the physical and the psychological. In this series, a luminous white horse emerges from deep, darkened fields of color, its form revealed through the quiet drama of illumination against surrounding darkness. Sparse elements—a hovering bird, a solitary red flower, a distant horizon—punctuate the compositions, creating scenes that feel suspended between movement and stillness. Through controlled palettes and carefully observed anatomy, the horse becomes both subject and symbol: a figure of endurance, vulnerability, and quiet strength moving through an ambiguous landscape.
Hahne Quintana received a BFA from the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design and has exhibited widely in the United States and internationally. His work has been shown at institutions including the Institute of Contemporary Art Miami and the Denver Art Museum, as well as venues such as The FLAG Art Foundation, New York; Kunstraum Potsdam, Germany; and Palazzo Reale, Milan. His work is held in the permanent collections of the Denver Art Museum, the Institute of Contemporary Art Miami, and the High Museum of Art in Atlanta.
