The summer solstice—the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere—is a moment of heightened energy, transformation, and luminous beauty. Celebrated across cultures for centuries, this celestial event marks the peak of summer’s radiance while signaling the turning of the seasonal cycle.
This exhibition invites artists to explore the symbolic and experiential dimensions of the solstice, embracing the dualities of the season: light and dark, reality and fantasy, abundance and mystery. From the golden glow of endless summer days to the enchantment of moonlit nights, the works on view reflect on themes of vitality, transition, and reverie.
Through diverse perspectives, the exhibition delves into the interplay of light and shadow, the passage of time, and the rituals that honor the solstice. Some works evoke the lushness of nature in full bloom, while others tap into the surreal and mystical undertones of summer nights. Collectively, these pieces celebrate the solstice as both a personal and communal experience—one of revelry, reflection, and connection under the expansive summer sky.
Fittingly, the exhibition will close on June 20, the exact day of the summer solstice, aligning its conclusion with the celestial event that inspired it.
